Sample of Results in Practice *

  • Part of legal team that successfully represented a syndicate of banks that suffered $50 million in damages arguably related to frauds perpetrated by officers and directors of a publically traded company, and the failure of an independent public auditor to detect and report those frauds. Settled the case to client’s satisfaction after vigorous pre-trial advocacy.
  • Part of legal team that represented a former director of a publically traded company alleged to have violated the Securities and Securities Exchange Acts in a multi-defendant SEC civil enforcement action.  Settled the matter to the client’s satisfaction without any finding of fraud after significant discovery and pre-trial advocacy.
  • Part of legal team that represented an individual in sentencing phase of an income and payroll tax enforcement action, successfully obtaining a significant downward departure from the federal sentencing guideline range.
  • Part of legal team that successfully represented software company in contract and Chapter 93A litigation, settling the matter to the client’s satisfaction for significantly less money than the original demand.
