Bench & Bar Activities

At Collora LLP, we believe that lawyers should work toward making the legal profession and the justice system better, not just in their daily duties, but in their voluntary service to the bench and bar. That is why our attorneys have served the legal community in many different capacities.

Service to Our Judiciary

In order to insure that we have the highest possible quality of judicial service, our attorneys have served on a variety of committees, associations and boards, including:

  • Member of the Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Appointments
  • Member of the Advisory Committee that recommends appointments of U.S. District Judges, U.S. Marshalls and U.S. Attorneys
  • Chair of the Appellate Courts Bench-Bar Committee
  • Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Task Force on Judicial Conduct
  • Member of the Federal Criminal Procedure Committee, reporting to the federal courts
  • Member of the Appellate Court Information Technology Committee
  • Panel Member of the First Circuit Criminal Appeals Panel
  • Member of the Supreme Judicial Court Working Group on Time Standards for Transcripts on Appeal
  • Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Task Force on Judicial Conduct
  • Member of the Special Bar Committee on Ethics in Public Service
  • Member of the MassCourts Information Technology Project Advisory Board
  • Chair of the Criminal Justice Act Advisory Board, supervising appointments of defense counsel, coordinating defense issues with the federal courts, and revising local rules relating to discovery in criminal cases
