Collora Foundation
Collora LLP is very proud to be one of the few firms of its size to have created a formal foundation in furtherance of charitable objectives.
The Collora Foundation was established in 2006 and made its first substantial gift in 2007 to honor the memory of the late and Honorable Thomas E. Dwyer. (Click here to view press release.)
In keeping with Judge Dwyer’s lifelong dedication to justice for the powerless, the Foundation made its initial gift to Community Resources for Justice in support of an initiative to help prisoners make successful transitions back into society. The goals of the initiative were to decrease criminal recidivism and to serve the business community by providing trained labor in targeted industries.
Subsequent to 2007, the Foundation has continued to make annual gifts to a variety of organizations for initiatives designed to improve access to justice, reduce crime and/or provide better legal service for those who are unrepresented or under-represented in our community.
The Foundation has made gifts to the following organizations, among others:
-
Women’s Bar Foundation
-
Greater Boston Legal Services
-
Anti-Defamation League
-
Boston Bar Foundation
